本当にあった呪いのビデオですが、過去の作品でもぜひ見ていただきたい映像は多々あります。しかしながら、2018年9月現在、78巻もありますので、その全てをレビューするのは骨が折れます。そこで、過去に観た印象深い作品、恐い作品10選ご紹介したいと思います。選考基準は私の主観と独断ですw

手鏡
本当にあった呪いのビデオ56
深夜に酒に酔った女性が、公園の植え込みに落ちていた古い手鏡を拾う。撮影しているのはその女性の彼氏。彼女はかなり出来上がっており（ほぼベロベロ）、その手鏡でテニスの真似事をしたりしてふざけまくった後、鏡越しにカメラへ目線を向ける。すると、突然、顔のただれた女の顔が鏡に写り、「パーン！！」という音ともに割れてしまう、驚いた彼女は鏡を取り落としてしまうが、拾い上げた鏡には、既に何も写っていない。
鏡に映る女性の顔は、半分ただれているようですが、作り物っぽく、そんなに怖くないです。ただ、写るのが一瞬であり、割れる鏡のタイミングと相まって、相当インパクトがあります。ちなみにこの映像の公園、私の家の近くであることが判明しました。住宅地のど真ん中で、決して辺鄙なところではありません。場所は秘密ですw

吊り橋
本当にあった呪いのビデオ58
カップルが山奥の吊り橋をわたる映像。彼女が先行し、彼氏が後ろから撮影。おぼつかない足取りの彼女が、吊り橋の真ん中あたりで足を取られてしまう。心配した彼氏がカメラを持ったまま駆け寄り、こんなところで転んだら死ぬから気をつけろ。ほら、こんなに高いんだから…という感じで、板木の隙間から遥か下の水面にカメラを向ける。すると、いきなりにょろんと、無機質な男の顔が登場w その顔がかなり恐い。私、驚いて悲鳴をあげましたw

飛ぶカメラ
本当にあった呪いのビデオ55
女性３人ほどの、たこ焼パーティーの様子を収めた映像。突然、カメラが撮影者の手を離れて、家具の下か何かにポーンと飛んで行ってしまう。家具の下は暗いので、最初は何が写っているのかわからない。どうやら丸くて黒光りしたものが確認できる。飛んで行ってしまったカメラを、撮影者引っ張り出すと、その黒光りしたものの正体が判明する。それは不気味な女性の顔であり、黒光りしていた物体は、その瞳であった。
引っ張り出されたカメラが捉える女性の顔にビビります。家具の下に、人間の入れるスペースなどあるわけもないので、首だけがそこに存在したことになるわけで、わけのわからない怖さがあります。

首の家
本当にあった呪いのビデオ45
廃墟探索のグループが、首だけのマネキン人形が大量に山積みになっている部屋を発見する。「こええぇぇ〜」とか言いながら、カメラはマネキン人形をズームアップ。するとマネキン同士の隙間から、本物と思われる顔が現れ、ギロッ！とこちらに目を動かす。
隙間から見える目が、最初はマネキンの目だと思っていたのが、こちらを見たことで本物だとわかった瞬間が恐いです。構造上人間が入り込めるような感じではないので、この世のものではない、何かなのでしょう。驚いて一番先に逃げ出した一人が、出口の扉を閉めてしまい、何かの具合で開けにくくなってしまったようで、撮影者を含む、その他全員が取り残されてパニックになります。「てめえ開けろ！開けろぉ！」と必死の声がリアルで恐い。
これは、地上波の心霊映像特集でもよく取り上げられています（取り残された仲間がパニくるシーンは大抵カットされますが）。

タワーパーキング
本当にあった呪いのビデオ54
公共の機械式タワーパーキングに車を止めたところ、ダッシュボード上、フロントガラス向きに置き忘れたビデオカメラのスイッチが、なぜかオンになり、勝手に録画を始めてしまった映像。乾いた機械音とともに、次第にまわりが暗くなっていく。まず子供の姿が現れ、さらに黒い影が車を覗き込む。目だけがギラギラ光っている。
恐いです。というかはっきり覚えていません。このレビューをするために再び見たいと思いません。なぜか二度と見たくない、そんな映像です。

疾走!
本当にあった呪いのビデオSpecial5
とある廃墟施設を訪れたグループが、建物内に侵入を試みるもできない。諦めて立ち去ろうとすると、白い服を着た何者かが叫びながらこちらに猛烈なスピードで突進してくる。その姿には首がない。
本呪初期の傑作。レギュラーシリーズではなくて「Special」の5です。とにかくインパクト抜群。冷静に絵面を見ると、コントみたいで笑えるのですが、その場所の雰囲気、実際にこんな状況で出くわしたらと、想像すると恐怖がこみあげてきます。実際、映像の中では全員ビビりまくって逃げ惑うため、こちらめがけて疾走してきた、その何かがどうなったのかまでは、判別できません。

呪われたホーム・ムービー
本当にあった呪いのビデオ50
この50巻のメインエピソードである「アフンルパロを観る女」の中で触れられた、一般人が撮影したビデオ映像。このエピソード自体ははなかなか興味深いのですが、正直怖くはありません。ただ、この話の中心人物である女性が、小学生時代にいじめを受けるきっかけになったビデオというかたちで、最後の最後、スタッフロールの後で、紹介されるのがこれです。さらに、「霊障があるかもしれないから覚悟して観てね」とテロップで警告されます（このあとスタッフが事故ったというおまけ話まで添えてw）。
公園の回転式遊具で遊んでいる子供達の何気ない風景。しばらくすると、左端に半透明の子供らしき人影が現れ、彼らを睨みつけているように見える。突然画面が大音量のノイズとともにフリーズ。フリーズしているので、映像の遊んでいる子供達は動かない。でも不気味な人影だけは、目だけがだんだんカメラ目線、つまりこちらを睨みつけてくる。
これも正直何回も見たくない映像です。恐いというよりは、見たくない。だから、このレビューを書くにあたって見直したりはしていませんw つまりうろ覚えで書いているので、細かいところは間違っているかもしれません。非常に恐かったことだけは、覚えています。

ニューロシス
本当にあった呪いのビデオ15
高校生くらいの女の子２人が、閉園して廃墟化している遊園地に侵入。冬の朝といったおもむきで、あたりは一面の雪景色。２人の足跡しか存在しないことから、少なくとも雪が降ってから、誰もここを訪れていないことがわかる。２人は何を思ったのか、アトラクションの一つであるミラーハウスに入っていく。しばらくは携帯の明かりだけをたよりに、ミラーハウスではしゃいでいた２人ではあるが、遠くから人の声が聞こえてくる。それは、母親が子供を叱りつけている声であった。ここには彼女達以外誰もいないはず。なのにその声はだんだん近づいてくる。そもそも叱りつける母親の声が尋常ではない。泣き叫ぶ子供の声と、狂ったように叫ぶ母親の声は、折檻と行っても良いほどの狂気を感じさせる。もはや目の前にいるかのごとく、その罵声と鳴き声は大きくなるが、姿は見えない。逃げ出そうにも、ミラーハウスの迷路ではそれもままならず、ようやく脱出した頃に、声は遠ざかっていった。
恐い幽霊やら亡霊やらが、画面に登場するわけではありません。しかしながら、鬼気迫る声は非常に怖く、臨場感があります。場所は今は亡き「富士ガリバー王国」ですね。

夜警
本当にあった呪いのビデオ51
心霊スポットのトンネルを、車で走行している様子を収めた映像。撮影者（助手席）、運転者、後部座席に女性の計３人連れ。トンネル内走行中に、警備員風の人物が、サイドウインドウ越しに横切る。トンネルを出たところで、撮影者がカメラを構えたまま、車を一旦停車させる。彼は人がいたことを力説するが、他の２人は見ていないと主張し、押し問答になる。何かの音に気がついて、撮影者がフロントガラス越しにカメラを向けると、「うううぉーっ！」とうなり声をあげながら、右前方から半透明の警備員が突進してくる。
遠くからうなり声をあげつつ迫ってくる姿が、とても恐い。これもまた悲鳴があがりました。私的には、本呪で1、2をあらそう作品です。

不気味な女
本当にあった呪いのビデオ25
アパートの自室の様子を、携帯端末で撮影した動画。おそらく移り住んだばかりなのであろう、各部屋を話しながら丁寧に説明している。ふとクローゼットの扉の隙間から、子供のような姿が映り込む。撮影者も気がついてナレーションが中断。クローゼットの中を確認するも何もいない。気を取り直してリビングにカメラを向けるとなんとも不気味な女が立っている。
女の服装は真っ黒で班別としない。輪郭もぼやけており、表情も読み取れません。ただ、ぼーっと突っ立っているだけなのですが、とても恐い。その存在を認識した撮影者は、あまりの恐怖に悲鳴をあげるいとまもなく、携帯を放り出して、部屋の外に逃げ出してしまう様子が、逆にリアル感を感じさせます。床に転げ落ちた携帯は撮影を続けていて、あさっての方向を写し続けますが、その女が発したであろう「ううううぅ〜」という唸り声をはっきりと記録していました。
本呪を代表する映像と言っても過言ではない、屈指の恐怖映像。女の姿は変にボケていて、それが一層不気味。一時期、地上波の心霊映像特集で盛んに取り上げられていました。

50の警告映像怖かったですね。この前久しぶりに見たけどやっぱり怖かったです(~_~;)個人的には41のクラシックバレエの映像と地味だけど50の不気味な置物がなかなか怖かったです。

最近、これまで知らなかったほん呪レビューサイトが立て続けにいくつか見つかったんですが
これまでに知っていたレビューサイトでは、作品の評価というのは概ね一致しているところが多かったし、それに自分も納得していましたが
新しく見つかった諸サイトでは個々の作品の評価がこれまでのものとは随分と異なっていて、ちょっと当惑しています。
Special３『区画整理』のような全然わからないものに最高評価を付けていたり、『不気味な女』のある巻の感想が「普通」とか、挙句の果ては、黒狐編が面白いとしてほん呪20周年記念の人気投票に入れたという人までいたりして。
「区画整理」はちょっとわけわからないですね、その人だけに何かが見えたのでしょうか。
本呪25が普通？
「反面の男」と「不気味な女」というわかりやすいエピソードを最初に持ってきちゃったからかな？
黒狐編が面白い？
いや、それはない（笑）
本当に感じ方は様々ですね。
それらは、多くの作品を「普通です」との感想で済ませてる2番目の以外は一応参考になるのでいいんですが
「劇団員」というワードをやたらと出してくるレビューには興ざめするばかりで読みたくなくなりましたね…(ただ、それとは別の所で知った、阿佐ヶ谷姉妹の妹さんの方が劇団員時代にpart７の「もじもじくん」で出ていたとの裏情報は面白かったですけど)。
あと、事象がはっきり映っているものに対して「わかりません」を連発しているレビューがあり(13の『前触れ』等も含まれる)、それは何がわからないのか書いて説明すべきことで、やる気がないのならわざわざレビューなんか書くなと思いました。

このエピソードは目撃した状況を自分に置き換えてどれだけ想像できるか…だと思います。
『前触れ』は言われる通りだと思います。自分もあの状況にいたら、不思議に思って見上げているうちに怖くなって逃げ出すと思います。事象に動きがないのが逆に不安を煽ります。
このエピソードは自分のベスト19位に入れています。他に類のない不可思議さと、心霊映像には珍しく映像が美しいことが高ポイントです。

1位の「壇蜜が男のバックに現れる映像」にちょっと笑ってしまいました。確かに似てたw。これめっちゃ笑ってて結構怖いですね。
私のベスト10も、どうして「廃神社」や「井戸」を入れなかったんだとか、最初から見直して評価が変わりつつあります。なので、ベスト10も何らかの形でリニューアルしようかとも思っています。
あれから1年経って、新しく 2位に 88巻の2番目の映像で((((；ﾟДﾟ))))、題名忘れましたが、学校と喫茶店で2回同じような爛れた灰色の少年が現れた映像。あれが2位にランクインしました！ エピソードが短いので2位なのですが、映像だけなら堂々の1位です！
あれはマジで怖い！鮮明に映っており、特に喫茶店で映ったブロックノイズの方はドアップにいきなりゾンビみたいな顔して出てくるので、思わずキャーッって悲鳴が出てしまってｗ（＾＾）トラウマものですよー
最近は骨が無い感じで正直あまり期待してなくて、いきなりあんなのぶっこまれてびっくりしました！
あれはちょっと怖かったですね。

I want to thank you for creating such an interesting blog about Honju, and other film projects. I am a big fan of Japanese horror films (mostly in the spirit of ghosts), and your blog is not only very interestingly written (there are many valuable thoughts and details), but it also helps me a lot in watching videos, since I do not always understand the meaning and translation. But I love the Honju series, and have grown to love it very much in recent months. Your blog is the best I could find in Japanese. Arigatou gozaimasu!
I would also like to share my viewing experience. I have watched only 36 episodes so far. I keep a list of the best volumes in my opinion in advance, and update it as I watch if I find something good. I mainly watched Kazuto Kodama and Iwasawa’s films. I only watched a little of Nakamura-san, Sakamoto, Fukuda, Shiraishi and Terauchi’s work.
Perhaps my rating of the best will be slightly different from yours.
I liked three films the most – 38, 39 and 55.
Episodes 37-39 had an extremely powerful storyline, which had many plot twists and a strong build-up of atmosphere. In addition to the main content, episodes 38 and 39 are full of scary things. I was impressed by the black woman in episode 38. It seems to me that this image looks more damned than the analogues in volumes 25 and 35. The final episode in 39 looks really natural. Honju looks so realistic that due to my superstition, I skip some parts and read your reviews to find out what really happened. In fact, I’m not that scared, yes, I’m the same person who watched the “creepy woman” from volume 25, in complete darkness, at night)) But for Honju, due to my superstition, I make exceptions, so episodes like the final one in volume 39, I watch either only the beginning, or just the image, and at the same time read your descriptions. After all, they make an indelible effect!

There are also episodes that your blog and other Japanese authors call very scary, but they did not impress me so much. I’m talking about the parking lot in 54 and the night watchman in 50.
I would also give the greatest preference to such issues as – 25, 47, 52, 14, 42, 54, 100, 53, 32, 20, 26, 50.
Of course, I highly appreciated the “creepy woman” fragment in 25, and at least the entire half of volume 25 was at a very high level.
But I was much more scared by the found footage from volume 47, I had strong goosebumps, it was so slow and so scary. It really looks cursed. In 47, the final scene is also very good and unexpected. It was a very strong issue.
In volume 52, almost all the episodes were good, but the remake of the creepy figurine/doll is truly scary. Iwasawa is such a genius that he was able to squeeze out this fear twice, and the second time is not inferior to the first.
Issue 100 had a wonderful investigation and the best build-up of fear probably in all of Honju. I appreciated Nakamura’s work, or at least tried to do so.
I think you underestimated 53 and 54 a little. The series with a scary story and what additional episodes there are are simply top-notch. Thanks to Iwasawa-san for this.
Issue 32 was one of the first that I watched, I was really very afraid of this series then, and the footage that Kikuchi sent was very impressive. The atmosphere throughout volume 32 was at a very high level. I didn’t like the further plot in volumes 33 and 34, but in 33 there were decent additional footage. I think they were underestimated.
I hope it didn’t turn out too chaotic. I really love this series.

Gerardさんのおっしゃる通り、児玉さんや岩澤さんの手がけた22巻から55巻までは特に怖く「ほんとにあった！呪いのビデオ」の黄金期ですね。
私のお気に入りは「廃神社」が収録されている23巻です。
「ほん呪」は108巻で一応の節目を迎え、つい最近まで109巻が劇場公開されていました。残念ながら私は観に行けませんでしたが、12月6日にDVDが発売されるので、その視聴を今から楽しみにしております。その際はまたレビューしますので、よろしかったらご覧になってください。
因みに「ほん呪」は「ほんのろ（hon-noro）」と制式タイトル（ほんとにあった のろいのビデオ）と同じ読み方で私達は読んでいます。
なんとなくそっちの方が読みやすいからです。

As you mentioned, the period from Volume 22 to Volume 55, handled by Kodama-san and Iwasawa-san, truly represents the golden era of “Honto ni Atta! Noroi no Video” (“True Scary Stories on Cursed Videos”). My personal favorite is Volume 23, which includes the episode “Abandoned Shrine.”
“Honto ni Atta! Noroi no Video” reached a milestone with Volume 108, and just recently, Volume 109 was released in theaters. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go watch it, but the DVD will be released on December 6th, so I’m already looking forward to viewing it. When I do, I’ll post a review, so if you’re interested, please take a look.
By the way, we often refer to “Honto ni Atta! Noroi no Video” as “Hon-Noro,” which is the same pronunciation as the official title. It just feels a bit easier to say.

I’ve read several blogs about this Hon Noru series of films, as well as several reviews. But yours is the most soulful and cozy of them all, and also the one I like the most in terms of how the review is composed. So, I’m very glad that you replied to me!
I try to find positive things in all the J-horror films that I watch, but Honju, as I already wrote, is my favorite thing. Before that, my favorite Japanese horror films were the Kaidan Shin Mimibukuro series. It was popular in the 2000s.
Volume 109 is cool. I’ll wait for your review, Itton-san!
By the way, I sometimes think that the reason for the possible departure of Iwasawa and his staff could be a conflict with the producers?
And to match the topic, I would like to highlight the most impressive episodes that I have managed to watch so far. Last time, I didn’t mention the number of volumes I’ve watched, which was wrong, but I’ll fix that now. To date, it’s 44 movies. The most impressive plots/videos for me are…
1) The creepy figurine/doll, ningyo from episodes 50 and 52. Everything about it is good.
2) Old Man Nunarikyon from volume 14. Of course, volume 14 was one of the first I watched, so it had a chance to make the biggest impact. But even rewatching, these episodes just have the strongest atmosphere. When you watch them for the first time, it just knocks you off your feet. By the way, I read the review and noticed it myself, but in the first 30 episodes, the music was much more intense and frightening. This is especially noticeable now, when I recently watched the 50th and 60th episodes.
3) The attached curse from 20.
It was a pretty terrifying setup for watching it. I wouldn’t want to watch this video.
4) A creepy woman. In my opinion, everything is obvious here and everyone has a unanimous opinion on this fragment.
5) Video recording of a crazy death. The plot, which we were prepared for since volume 30, was completely magnificent and a masterpiece. Along with volume 55, I consider episode 39 to be the best of all that I have personally watched. Of course, I would like to see an even better one. This is my motivator for watching.
6) Mother’s thoughts from 42.
This is not only a scary, but also a brilliant episode. Literally everything is good in it. On the one hand, it is disturbing, on the other hand, as some Japanese authors wrote, it is very melancholic and sad. I agree with this. We literally have a dual view of the same story, and both sides of the coin turned out great. Moreover, it is excellently filmed from the point of view of the time when event X occurs, which is what you wrote about in some of the reviews. I was not prepared for this.
7) Concert in the Ruins.
One of the few episodes that actually scared me while watching. It was very scary and realistic. Of the episodes that are not cursed by their backstory, this is probably the only one that I did not want to watch on repeat.
8) Rorschach.
A brilliant idea and extremely well-directed. I also read that it contains all the good elements. And I agree with this. I respect the first videos from the 27-year curse in volume 32. That sound and interference, as well as the ruins with which the video sent by Kikuchi began, looks like an ideal cursed video. This is exactly what is already there from the first seconds of the “Rorschach” series. Moreover, something happens there and then that makes it several heads above the 27-year curse.
9) The legendary independent film from volume 72.
This story looks like a perfect cursed video, similar to Rorschach and the crazy death video. I didn’t like the main story of volume 72, because I’ve seen something like this before in the Honju series. But the story tied to the legendary film was great, 10/10. Kotaro Terauchi is the same genius who is the author of the Q documentary. This series brought Honju back to its best days.
10) The Red Curse from the 100th film.
I don’t remember its name anymore, but throughout the entire film they tried to convince us of the authenticity and functionality of this cursed video. I think this is the most hyped cursed video in the entire series, so yes, it’s really hard not to believe it, especially when something like this happens in the plot, and also when they take an old video, not a new one, which is much more inspiring. It’s so dangerous that in the end they didn’t even show us the entire video at the end, but only the safe parts. All this reminds me of the legend of Mereana, and yet this template really works and makes you believe.
Also, I want to say that I am not objective in my assessment. My impression of this series should always be divided by 2, since I do not watch it with ideal subtitles and translation. Secondly, I did not rewatch these episodes to be more objective, but wrote from memory. And thirdly, there are competing things that I simply could not include in the list, although these 10 videos still seem to me the strongest of the 44 volumes that I watched.
